Dreams Do Come True—Step by Step

This past weekend was nothing short of inspiring. My team member, Rhian, and I traveled from Phoenix, Arizona, to Jamaica for our Teacher Recruitment Days, and what an experience it was! Over two incredible days, we had the privilege of meeting and interviewing over 100 passionate educators from diverse backgrounds, each with their own unique story and dream of teaching in the United States.

Hearing their aspirations, challenges, and unwavering determination reminded me why I started Step By Step Consultancy in the first place. Teaching is more than just a job—it’s a calling. And for many of these educators, the dream of shaping young minds in American classrooms is not just a personal goal, but a mission to make a global impact.

There was something truly special about sitting across from each teacher, listening to their journey, their passion, and their hopes for the future. Some were seasoned professionals seeking new opportunities, while others were just beginning their international teaching journey. Regardless of their experience, they all shared a common thread—a deep love for education and an eagerness to take the next step toward their dream.

The energy in the room was electric, filled with excitement, nervousness, and most of all, hope. It reminded me of my own journey and the challenges I faced along the way. But more importantly, it reinforced my belief that with the right guidance, preparation, and opportunity, dreams do come true—step by step.
